Character Description: By appearance Bryony is between 4-5 years old. Heart shaped face , golden green eyes the same in either form, except that the eye takes on a feline appearance. She has medium brown hair just past her shoulders. She is about average for her age in height and weight. Now age ten.

Mental Description:  Smart and eager to please the adults in her life. A little cautious in her approach to things, but not unnaturally so.

Character History:  Margaux and Etienne Noir French graduate students specializing in wildlife biology met in college and soon after married and traveled extensively for their jobs until Margaux discovered she was pregnant. They returned to France to await the birth of their daughter. Neither parent was willing to risk exposure of their secret. Both were Jaguar. Once Bryony was a year old the family resumed traveling. When Bryony was two her parents received a job offer to work in the Amazon Rainforest that would last four years studying and cataloging several newly discovered species. Believing that since the region is so spread out and sparsely populated it would allow them to raise their child and teach her the things she would need to know without prying eyes ,they accepted the job.

 For two years the family worked , played and lived deep in the rainforest, often running with the non shifting Jaguars. There had been a few run ins with poachers and game hunters but they were few and far between

As the natural jaguars numbers dwindled poachers moved farther into the rainforest. One morning while the family was running among the jaguars hunters shot and killed Etienne.In the confusion Bryony was separated from her Mother and captured for sale to a research lab. Margaux trying to rescue her daughter was shot with a tranquilizer gun and both were taken by truck to the docks to be transported to a lab in Cuba. The ship never made it to Cuba.
