Character Description:
Mental Description:
Dimi has a strong love for her family. She is very kind hearted, and
sometimes she trusts too easily. She will help anyone who may need it, and
she always looks for the good in someone, even if everyone around her
tells her that there is none. She is dependable and loyal to her friends
and family (she had a bad time where she wasn’t like that, but she had
been corrupted..) She has a big black empty spot in her memory, and she
really isn’t trying all that hard to have that past revealed to her,
because she has a feeling within her, that she would rather not know.
Character
History:
Dimi was born of a human mother, and an elven father. Her mother died when she was very young, too young to even remember her, and her father ran off after her mother’s death. She had a very difficult childhood, with no one who truly raised her, just being passed from one temporary home to another. Because of this unstable upbringing, she was quite a rebel. She cared nothing for anything, even for herself. She was reckless, she did not care about rules or morals. She did what she wanted, when she wanted, no cares for consequences. When she was about 15, she set off on her own. She lived her life traveling from one place to another, doing whatever was needed to survive and to move on to somewhere new. She was quite rebellious, since she felt she really had nothing to live for anyways. When she was in her early 20’s, she ran into some trouble that she was not able to escape. During a fight in a bar, she was killed…or so it appeared. Shortly afterwards, she awoke, not understanding what had happened. It seems the father who had abandoned her, had given her a gift. His blood in her veins gave her the gift of immortality.
She spent the next segment of her life traveling once again. She was searching for a place to fit in. A place to find others who would accept and love her. But she did not find a home. She went from one place to another, never staying long enough for anyone to notice that she did not age. She met men, but never one that was meant for her, so she moved on. She used this time to gain experience in life. She learned that there were others out there, some like her, some quite different. These others also had to keep the truth about themselves from the mortals in the world. She began to learn arcane powers. Gaining knowledge from different teaches in each place she stopped. Finally, after so much time, she had lost track of how many years it really was, she stumbled upon Mance.
It
was here that she met Aly, then known as Lady_Talbot. Here was a place she
felt accepted for the first time in pretty much her whole life. She was
adopted into the family, and was very happy. When she first joined the
family, she was involved with a man, Excalibur Evernight. She thought this
might be the one for her, but she later found out that he was married…
She of course broke off the relationship as soon as she learned the truth,
but soon after found out that she was already pregnant. While she was with
child, she met Mickel DeVandur, but alas, he was involved with another.
She wanted no part in being involved with a man already in a relationship
once more, so each time he asked her out, she turned him down, even though
she was very attracted to him. Long story short, he broke up with the
woman he was with, and the two of them got together before her son was
born. Mick adopted White Star when he was born, and slowly their family
grew. They adopted a little girl named Irish Rose, and later they adopted
another little girl names Denver. Several years passed, and they had
another little girl of their own, they called Delia. When Delia was 2,
Dimi had a baby boy named John.
(fast forward approximately 23 years, since Dimi has no idea what has happened to her during this time)
Dimi has recently appeared upon the island, with no memories whatsoever after the birth of her son John. For most of this time, no one knew where she was, some may have thought she was dead. She has no idea where she has been, or what she has been doing. At first, she didn’t even realize that all this time has passed. She has reunited with Mick, and is slowly having her family come back together. She has many questions…she does not understand what has happened, and she is trying to remember where she has been. And yet, a part of her thinks it might be better to not delve to deep into the past. She has a feeling that her forgetting it, might be a blessing.. she fears that the unknown is a very dark place that is better left where the light can’t find it.
Items:
she does not usually carry weapons, but if there is a need, then she uses a dagger which she either conceals upon her thigh, or in her boot. Wears a DeVandur family ring, and a Shadow family ring.
Dimitria’s Weaknesses
Geas: Has to accept an offered drink, can not turn one down, and has to drink it, not just accept it and place it to the side.
Although her family is a great strength for her, it is also a major weakness, as she would do anything for them, even sacrifice herself if need be, to keep them safe. Another weakness of hers is that she trusts way too quickly. She can be easily deceived and sometimes trusts the wrong people.Spells and abilities:
Healing: Dimi has the ability to take on the pain and injuries of others, healing them. She has but to lay her hands on them, and concentrate. They will feel their pain easing, any wounds healing. She temporarily takes the wounds and pain into herself, but shortly after she is finished healing the individual, her own body heals as well. She is able to heal even severe wounds, as long as she can endure the temporary pain it will cause her. She can not however heal natural illnesses, such as cancer or anything along those lines. Level 1: she can heal minor aches and pains, as well as bruises
Level 2: she can heal minor cuts and scrapes
Level 3: she can heal deep gashes, sprains, and torn ligaments
Level 4: she can heal broken bones, and internal bleeding
Level 5: she can heal injuries of the mind, life threatening injuries, and restore missing limbs
Alchemy/Herbalism: Dimi has long studied the arts of making potions and poultices, both mundane and mystical out of plants and chemicals.
Level 1: she can make mundane potions or poultices that act as painkillers or creams to sooth wounds.
Level 2: she can make potions or poultices that can temporarily heighten ones senses or perceptions slightly. (more descript)
Level 3: she can make potions or poultices that can temporarily heighten ones senses or perceptions to supernatural levels. (more descript)
Level 4: she can create potions or poultices that can cause supernatural occurrences. Potions of love, or healing. The potions could imitate powers of supernatural creatures. (more descript)
Level 5: Highest level of alchemy. Can create potions and substances of almost anything the imagination can come up with. Immortality is but one idea. (more descript)
Note: Although she could create poisons easily with this ability, she refuses to do such. (more descript)
Shadowwalk: The ability to step
into the shadows, letting them envelope her, and then disappear, traveling
through the shadow realm, to reappear within shadows in another, desired
location.
Mind Speak: Dimi and her family (Mickel, Delia, and Rose) have a special family bond that allows them to speak to each other through a form of telepathy. They can pick up each others thoughts and emotions, unless the actively close off the ability. This bond works over great distances, but the further apart they are, the weaker the connection, hence the weaker the communication.
