Description:

Deathwish stands about 5'5 but usually is always in heels so she seems taller. True to her DeDanu heritage, she has deep emerald green eyes that were given to her upon her embrace. Her long black hair has gained a reddish tint and her once pale skin has tanned slightly with age. She has an unnatural beauty and hypnotic grace that she uses fully to her advantage, especially around men. She is usually always seen in beautiful dark dresses that hug the curves of her body. She enjoys the finest things in life and it shows, with her constant attention to detail and the fact she is never seen with a hair out of place.

Mental Description:

Those who know DeathWish understand why her name is what it is. She has been described as "a dark cloud in a normally pleasant sky," and it is very true. She is naturally cold, uncompassionate, and considers all other things, especially living things, inferior to her. However, she is a master at manipulating and playing games, so her true nature is not always known at first.

Weakness:

She hates to get her hands dirty. Because of this, she keeps out of direct physical conflict. She will only attempt physical combat if she is attacked first, or someone she cares about is being attacked. The DeDanu also take aggravated wounds from cold iron. (Cold Iron, meaning never heated when forged.)

Another weakness is the fact she is extremely stubborn… which should speak for itself. She is also extremely afraid of being alone.

Her other main weakness is the fact she lets her passionate emotions control her when they are sparked… usually from an outside source. Though she has been seen fighting inward battles with herself. Rage, Lust, Envy, Vanity, Pride, and Greed are her deadly sins, but she has been learning to control them… and even use them to her advantage.

Abilities/Disciplines:

Deathwish has never had a reason to get her hands dirty in combat, because she has always had pawns to do it for her. Therefore, she has no abilities or spells, to anyone's knowledge, that could be helpful in combat. Instead, she has innate disciplines that have grown with her, which she uses unconsciously.

As any other vampire, speed, strength, and the heightening of senses grow with age. However, other than the use of her senses, she does not use her speed or strength often. She would rather people think she was harmless than the other way around.

Telepathy - She has the ability to connect to others minds and leave the connection open to speak her thoughts and hear theirs. She has also learned how to send sensations and emotions through the mind and put up mental blocks in her own. However, she has not learned to break through the mental blocks of someone else.

Manipulation - Wish is a master at this. It is rare that she comes across someone, especially of younger generations, that she cannot manipulate for her own advantage. This is also her greatest weapon... “Why attack an enemy from the outside, when you can go straight to the core and then watch the chaos unravel…”

Teleportation: Over the time in the island, she has gained a small black stone that allows her to teleport to her bungalow from wherever she is. However, that is the only use of the stone, it cannot teleport her back to where she was nor can it teleport her anywhere she wants to go.

Background:

Most of DeathWish’s mortal life has been blocked from her mind but the affect of it still remains… reflecting in the way she uses others, her vanity and disgust at imperfections, and the fact she cannot understand love within a family setting.

Her mother was a mistress to a powerful man, but once she became pregnant he did not find her attractive and moved on. And though her mother had many men come to her bed, she was never again at a high status. Her mother blamed her daughter for her misfortune but she did not have the heart to kill her baby. Instead she took out her anger out on her child.

Wish did not know kindness or love growing up. She was expected to do everything asked of her in impossible limits. She was punished for every imperfection on her… so she was never allowed to get dirty or have a hair out of place, and when she did she would be punished.

When Wish began to reach puberty her mother would make her stand naked every day and point out every flaw, saying things like.. “If you are not beautiful, you are worthless. No man will ever love you. How will I marry you off to ensure my future if you are ugly and disgusting?” Therefore, Wish did everything possible to eliminate every imperfection.

And though she was indeed beautiful, she was never married off. Instead, her cold outlook and naturally rebellious nature turned most men away.

Her life took a better turn, however, when she was sent by her mother to kill a man named Dethan. During the encounter with him, Wish learned that he was her brother… and that there was no way she would have survived a fight against him, which she guessed was her mothers plan all along. So instead of telling him of her intentions, she decided to take advantage the situation and form a new alliance. Feeling more secure with her brother’s secret support, she plotted against her mother and eventually killed her.

Just before killing her, however, she asked her mother what her “death wish” was, so she could have the pleasure of denying her that wish. This is how she gained the name DeathWish… because after her mother’s death, she had blocked her mortal memories and life from her mind, including her real name, Kalista... which, until just recently, she had remembered.

After the death of her mother, Yamo, her mothers newer husband, swore revenge against her. But luckily, Dethan had taken her under his protection by this time and had stopped all attempts Yamo tried against her life. Dethan was responsible for bringing Wish into the family of RuKain under Gringo’s rule.

DeathWish eventually followed Orions and Androsz into Sanscoeur when RuKain was no longer a protection. She was embraced by Orions, who she never actually thought of as her Sire because Androsz took care of her, which is also why she gave him the title as her ‘Keeper’ for a long time.

She eventually became romantically involved with Androsz and stayed by his side… almost as long as she can remember. Androsz was always traveling, leaving Wish alone much of the time in their home, but she did not mind because she was content with her gowns and jewels. She was never trained in her vampiric heritage or abilities but she never held that against them because she never needed to use them.

Since coming to the island, she has had a very difficult time adapting to a life in a vampire society. Due to her old vampiric age, she was expected to know certain things… including respect, abilities, behavior, and in all aspects, how to be a vampire. She had lived so long in her own little world that she did not understand or agree with much of what was around her, and she basically fought against it.

She has gotten herself into numerous life-threatening trouble but has slowly been adapting due, in large part, to the time she trained with the Stragos, who are of the few people she truly respects. She has also gained valuable alliances and friendships on the island... as well as dangerous enemies.

Though she has grown from her experiences, she has two constants in her existance... her natural ability to enrage anyone around her, and her strong seemingly undying love for Androsz.
