The only child born to Wolfin parents they named her Chessaraisa, which in their native language meant “Peaceful Rose”. She was born during the Mongolian occupation of Russia in the year 1395 AD. Due to the unrest among the humans her parents made the choice to cross the ice bridge into what would later become the United States. Chessaraisa had a very happy and largely carefree childhood and young adulthood. Her parents adored her and taught her all she needed to know about who and what she was. From their own horrifying experiences with humans while in wolfin form they taught her to conceal her true nature should she be forced to interact with humans. The 1500’s saw the encroachment of the humans, which forced the family into a smaller and smaller hunting and feeding territory. Trappers seeking furs to sell killed Chessa’s parents thinking them regular wolves. They tracked her for days before she was able to get far enough ahead of them to take a fully human form and avoid detection. 
During the centuries that followed Chessa learned to live among the humans and even hold down a job working as a production assistant for a radio station on the East coast. While living among the humans Chessa appeared to look like any other human female in her twenties. She stands about 5’6” with thick and straight dark brown hair that hangs to her shoulder blades and gold eyes.
She came to the Island when she was hired by Giles Valor to work at WOLF radio as production assistant.
