Character Description: A very slender woman standing right at 5'11/6'. In earlier years she had long red hair but lately she cut it up to shoulder length. The red hair is further accented by her penetrating, deep emerald eyes which adorn her tanned face. The most distinguishing traits, however, are the red feathered wings which shoot out from her shoulder blades and a soft red halo which appears sparatically above her head.

Character History:
The being now known as Carmen was originally known as
Dell, she was born in the highlands of Scotland in the vicinity of what is
modern day Edinborough. Although normally she speaks with a north American
accent, she sometimes slips back and speaks with her native Scottish one,
usually when she is upset and swearing in Gaelic.
Born close to the tail end of the Dark Ages, in the year 983, she never
would have expected all the things her long life would bring to her.
She was born of a common woman, one who had never had a husband. So
for many of her earlier years she was known as a bastard, along with her
siblings. But as she grew, certain changes overtook her and she
quickly realized that she was far from normal. Mustering up all of
her courage she approached her mother and asked the question that had been
haunting her since she was born. As soon as the question, Who is my
father? rolled off her lips, a
bright light overtook and filled every nook of their rundown home.
Rubbing her eyes she heard the voice
that would forever change her. "Dell, look up and behold it is
I, Michael... the one who you shall call
father from this day forth!" Looking up, her hands slightly
trembling she saw the archangel, and as she
did this, a soft ruby red halo appeared above her head. The angel
looked down upon her and smiled, "I
shall be watching you from now on, hesitate not to call upon me for aid my
child"
As the years passed she began growing and understanding more, until a
fated run in with a
kindred changed this. Learning about the young girls heritage, the
vampire quickly moved in to attempt to embrace Dell against her will.
As the fangs were poised against the young flesh, Dell cried out to her
father, " MICHAEL I NEED YOU!!" In a flash there stood the
archangel. A look of sheer terror swept over the blackened eyes of
the kindred as he attempted to flee. Before the vampire could take 3
steps the fierce archangel unsheathed a brilliant crimson saber and
dispatched him without effort.
She stood there in utter disbelief as the man she called father, always a
pillar of mercy, ended the
existence of another. Turning his eyes upon his daughter he spoke
"Dell... I am disappointed that you
allowed yourself to fall pray to such a weak enemy... You must be
punished..." With that the angel returned towards the heavens.
Confused as to the meaning of her father's statement, she gathered herself
up and began walking home. A bit later she fell to her knees in
unfathomable pain as the wings and halo which had always adorned the form
of the one known Dell rotted and disappeared and so did the ever present
support of her father. She called up to the skies in anger,
"Father! WHY?!" just then it began to rain and the skies
suddenly pierced apart as the same crimson saber which Michael used fell
to the earth. She knew then what she must do, standing and grabbing
the sword, she made her way home for the last time.
After gathering what few possessions she had, she left with a saddened
heart she shed her birth name and assumed the name Carmen as she left her
birth lands and began wandering the world. Throughout the years she
had made many friends and allies, most wost well known were the Iscariot
clan. However her wandering soul never being able to rest, she took
up her travels again, searching for something that she could not name.
Arriving on the island, a mysterious transformation over took her again,
the wings and halo that had been
stripped from her returned, although the connection with her father has
yet to be re-established. Not
understanding how this had happened, she now strives to live again and
rebuild the fallen glory of the
house of Iscariot
