Character Description: Standing around 5'9" , Very color coordinated. Having great style and is always on the prowl for Mr. Close Enough.  Will give you all is this very quickly

Mental: Not yet, am happy person and just going to make the world a better place cause I am there.

 

History: 

In 180bc Warlocks ran pretty much any where and did what they desired as long as they kept it some what out of the direct view of the public.  On occasion they would run across a child that had powers, these children were not warlocks. But their powers were great they were Mages. As most of us know Mages and Warlocks do not get along very well. 

When a warlock would stumble across one they would either kill it or take it and train it as a Warlock so is my tale of woe. 

I was minding my own affairs making young men's pants fall to their knees. Laughing and enjoying the view. When this Brut, called Toee Came along and plucked my sweet innocent self from this fabric of reality to a dark dank place. And believe me no color, no pinks, purples it was so horrid.. any ways I digress.  They said I was one of them and I had some how got lost and they were bringing me home. I assured them that If I was lost it was because of the decorator that came and ran screaming out into the night. For some reason they didn't like that and I got my first whipping. Oh talk about real ecstasy, when I came they decided they didn't like whipping me. Such a tease anyways I digress.

So I hung with them and they taught me that I was all that and a box of rocks. I could kick most of their asses with a flick of the wrist. (giggles) Anyways I digress. So they drag me up with this god awful name to the 1st City.  I run around all like scary and I admit it was a bit fun. Then I bump into Lord Joop, talk about a God. Well, I tell you he had style and new his colors. So we start knocking boots and Oh well I degree.. anyways he introduces me to this mage. Who tells me what I really am. 

I was so glad Cause hated all that dark glum and horrid color schemes. Anyways So I have been traveling trying to find my family and met this very cool. But very straight Mage who looks very tastey. Sorry I digress. Any ways he has been teaching me the fabric of magik Now doesn't that sound much more like me then dark and dreary. 

Well Now I am on this Isle I have met my Cousin and My auntie True Divas they are and we are going to have so much fun ....

What Are Mages?

Mages are human beings. They are your brothers, sisters, cousins, mothers, and fathers. 

They are simply that, and something else. They represent the next step in human evolution. Humanity has the subconscious ability to make Reality. What they believe is true, becomes true. Normally, it takes a great deal of the populace to make Reality stick. The very Reality we exist in now is so only because the vast majority of Humanity believes it is just so. 

Mages are those people who are able to work Magick. A portion of their inner self has "Awakened" from the Sleeping world which normal humans live in. They see the Threads of Consensus which form Reality, and can use their power to pick at those threads, altering Reality in new and seemingly impossible ways. They are not immune to attack, they are not immortal, and they do follow laws.....


How do Mages work Magick?

Magic defines the Existence of Mages, but what is it? To some, magick is the power to make things happen. To other's, it's wisdom, the enlightenment which comes with internal fulfillment. Some practice magick by procedure and ritual, and some see it as the energy which flows within a mage. Magic is all these things and more, it is a dynamic force of change. Weather this change tears down the old, strengthens the new or creates the wonderful, is up to the wielder. Through strength of will, belief in cited forms and an enlightened consciousness that speaks to the Fabric of Reality, mages reweave the Fabric itself.

Where as a Vampire or a Sorcerer are limited by what they can do, a few parlor tricks and repeatable "spells", a Awakened Mage is limited only by his own approach to magick as tempered by his teachings and experiences. The Mages power is not limitless per say, just infinitely more diverse. Each style of Magick as practiced by a Tradition gives a mage tools to push and pull at the fabric of Reality. What he does with those tools are limited only by their knowledge of the Universal Elements and Enlightened Awareness of the Universe (His Arete), his particula beleif system in a style of magic, and by how much change Reality will allow in the Tapestry.

There are no "spell lists" or "Magick points" with a Mage, the Mages power stems from his own inner awareness and will, and as such, is only limited by that strength. Potentially, any mage can do anything he wants, your own imagination fuels the Infinite combination of the Elements.

Why are Mages referred to as "Awakened"?

Before a Mage becomes a Mage, he, and all the rest of humanity, are referred to as Sleepers. These are the average human being, ones who have no idea of the big picture in the world, the ones who decide how Reality looks and acts....

It is the Act of Awakening which allows a Mage to perform his magick by opening the doors of perception and peers at the world with new eyes. New truths about the nature of Reality are revealed to the mage, while long-held preconceptions shatter. The newly Awakened Mage struggles to make sense of this barrage of new sensations. Without a strong sense of self, and a strong will, a mage can be driven made by this Awakening. In a Reality shaped by perception, who can determine whether an individual is insane or simply seeing a different cosmos?


Mage Spells

Unlike other, lesser creatures, Magi have the power of the cosmos at their fingertips. They tug and pull at the very fabric of creation. Their powers are derived from Reality's very essence. Their powers are limited only by their imagination, and their understanding of Reality. Mage powers derive from their knowledge of the Nine Elements of the Universe, those which make up all of Reality. Mage spells are crafted by the Magi, in their minds eye, and incorporate at least one of these Universal Elements.

Spheres Spells & Abilities: 

                                             Correspondence: 

Conjuration:   With a small amount of practice if his/her mind can see it he/her can create it. If this does not effect others in an adverse manner it requires no dice roll if it is used in battle he would have roll a higher number then the attacker to throw it or force it at him. He can not create entire cities, he could not create a huge building with out a very large roll of over 40. 

Distortion:  Using this can cause things to seem to change as if it were in a fun house mirror.  Auto

Scrying:  Using this they must have a stone or gem. An item of the person or thing they looking for. (auto, if they want to be found or if it is a non magickal creature. Magickal creatures who have the ability to cloak them selves must out roll the caster to stop him from locating you.

Teleportation: Using this the caster simply opens a portal in reality and moves to their choice of place. If some where of the Isle they must roll at least a 18. If on the other side of the Isle it is automatic unless the other side is hidden then must out roll the target. no roll needed if known place on either side of Isle. 

Warding: Using this the caster the caster can ward a place, when doing so they must use a spell and then cast at least a 200 to set the warding in place. Then each place that is warded must be noted and to over come that ward you must out roll the spot to move on or else the wall would not let you through. This also must be RP'd not just rolled on either side. To cast or to overcome. 

                                                      Mind

Astral Travel: Using this the caster can move through time and space with his mind. He does leave his physical body so it is at danger while he is away. (auto)

Communication: Using this the caster can talk with anyone mental who wishes to chat with him, if they wish to resist then he would have to out roll them to speak to them.

 Illusions: Using this the caster can create Illusion that seem real in almost manners. The higher the dice roll the more realistic it appears. (roll of 10 or less not very, 10 to 15 looks real with out examinations lasts 5 min, 15 to 20 can pass as real as long as it is not very closely scrutinized (lasts 30min). 20-25 can pass for real to anyone except an expert (lasts for an Hour), 25 to 30 it now will pass most any test. last 4 hours) over 35 will last for 1 day, over 45 will last a week.

Mind-Shielding, Using this the caster he can block his mind from probes or others attempting to locate him. To reach his mind you must out roll him by 4

Self-Empowerment : With this you can add reach into another mind tossing thought and ideas inside with out them knowing it comes from anyone but them selves. Example:  You do not want to hurt him, your hungry and you want to drink. You would walk away and go have a drink wondering why you were ever bothering him  (only can be used in a non attack manner, must out roll target)
