History
Generally Willow and Arthur got along quite well, but like every brother/sister relationship there was sibling rivalry. Never was any blood drawn, however, and only feelings were hurt.
When Arthur was older, he learned that his father, Wolven, had cheated on Aisling. He was devastated by the news, perhaps moreso than anyone else. He had always been incredibly attached to both of his parents, loving them both equally and without condition.
His parents got a divorce, and that was when Arthur vanished almost completely from all eyes. It was like he didn’t exist. He yelled at his father that he hated him, and ran. Arthur and Aisling haven’t seen him since.
Arthur ran until he couldn’t run anymore. The sun was rising, and even though he was horrified and in pain from what had just happened he still wanted to live. So he found an overhanging rock shelf that housed a small cave beneath it, and he hid in there until the sun had fallen again. When he came out of that rock shelf something in him had changed. He was alone now, with not even his sister to guide him. He had always relied on others to keep him safe, but now he only had himself.
Arthur embraced his Wamphyric parasite, and from his old height of around 6’7” he grew to a massive 7’8”, and weighed around 500 pounds. Muscles bulged and shook with each movement that he made, and his eyes burned red, flickering like embers in a growing fire. His personality changed from sweet and almost timid to rough and overbearing. He was rude, and he was a bully, and if anything got into his way he would destroy it.
It came to the point where he enjoyed killing, and he did it just because he felt like it. He didn’t need a reason other than ‘he wanted to.’ He decimated dozens of smaller villages and towns throughout the continent, and each time someone came to stop him he tore them down like they had never existed in the first place. No one could stop his wrath, and the knowledge of this urged him to destroy more people. He started focusing on larger places, even cities. As time passed, and technology in the world advanced, Arthur was forced to go into hiding again. His first encounter with firearms had not been one that he wanted to repeat.
He retreated to an old place, a place where he knew he could see his sister again. And he did find her. Overjoyed, his personality changed from killer to lovable brother. That part of him was still there, oh yes, and it never would leave. But he would not turn that on Willow, whom he cared for and respected now more than anyone else.
At one point a young Lord by the name of Shane Hellfire asked Arthur to aid in killing Gabriel. Gabriel was part of the family, and respected by most, also feared in some ways even though he was still relatively young. In a panic, Arthur wrote a note to Willow, and, fearing what she would do or say, begged for Lord Gabriel to deliver it to her himself. He had been relieved when the other had agreed to deliver the letter.
After that incident, Arthur spent a lot of time around his sister and her family, though he never let himself get too close to any of them. Most of them were too busy to really notice him much, anyway, though some enjoyed his company for a little while. He enjoyed theirs as well, having grown tired of the lonely woods. They called to him still, though, and some part of him yearned to go back there.
Eventually Arthur did respond to that call, and he left the place he deemed safe, left his sister, left his family. He went back into the woodlands, somehow feeling that it would be safer for him there. He spoke to the animals, and made more friends. All wildlife respected him and feared him, and when he killed they understood the balance of life and death. There were no grudges, and for now, at least, Arthur could live in peace.
In a few years he came across several grizzly bears, and he befriended them. Eventually he started living with them, adjusting his nightly cycles so he could be among them at all times. They were like his new family, and he embraced them as such. He even hibernated with them, sleeping away the winters before waking, starving, for spring. And when he did awaken he killed and he feasted, and all human kind learned to avoid the area. Legends about him began to grow. Legends of a great red beast with teeth like daggers, and claws like hooks in the woods. Don’t go into the woods, they would say. Only in the winter it is safe, for then he sleeps.
Many went into the woods to try and find him, and others went into the woods to prove themselves. There were bets and games involving running into the forest, standing there for as long as their fear allowed them, then running back out again. The person who could stand there for the longest amount of time won the game, or the bet. Once in a while no one won, as Arthur would come upon them like a shadow, and slaughter them all, rending them limb from limb for his own pleasures.
He enjoyed their games as well, and sometimes he would wait until they had all taken their time in the forest. Blood tasted better when victory was mixed in with the fear. At least he thought so.
After living with the grizzly bears for several centuries, and playing his ‘games’ with the silly mortals who came into his woods he began to grow lonely again. He loved the family of bears like they were his own, but he was starting to think of his sister again.
And so one night he left the bears, and he went into the closest town. He captured 5 humans, all of them men, whom he thought could defend his territory well. Not as well as he, of course, but well enough to keep it safe. They became his lieutenants, his warrior servants, and he told them to protect his forest and his family of bears or he would kill them. They agreed.
Arthur then left the forest, and he went back to the place where he had seen Willow before. He found here there. Relieved and overjoyed to see her, he embraced her and told her they would have plenty of time to catch up. Willow eventually let him help take care of a large aerie that she had taken, and he took good care of it, only leaving when he truly needed to, never altering anything.
Then one night Willow returned to him, and she hugged him tightly. She wanted him to come to a place called The Island. He was unsure at first, but then he agreed to go with her, deciding that any time he could spend with his sister would be wholly acceptable.

Teeth are straight edged and long, designed for cleaving through anything from flesh to stone, and two massive horns curve from his temples.
Grizzly Bear: A too large grizzly bear with thick grizzled fur, almost cream. His eyes are a glowing, sickly red. Thick bodied and durable, his grizzly bear form enables him to smell on a higher level than he could normally.
